3. Skilled Independent visa.
This visa is for the skilled worker who achieves the required points in the points-test and are not sponsored by an employer or family member or nominated by a state or territory government. 4. Skilled - Nominated visa.

5. Skilled - Nominated or Sponsored (Provisional) visa.
This visa is for the skilled worker who achieves the required points in the points-test and are nominated by a state or territory government agency or sponsored by an eligible relative living in a designated area. This is a 4 year period temporary visa which allows you to live and work in specified regional areas in Australia. Visa options are available for those who wish to renew and extend the current visa and for family members of someone who already holds a subclass 489, 475, 487, 495 or 496. 6. Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457).
